The potential of new business partnerships between Greek and Israeli tourism professionals was discussed during a B2B workshop, organized for the first time at the IMTM 2020 trade show in Israel by the Greek National Tourism Organization (GNTO).

The IMTM (International Mediterranean Tourism Market) took place during February 11-12 at the TLV Convention Center in Tel Aviv.

In his opening address, GNTO Secretary General Dimitris Fragakis called on participants to visit Greece for three main reasons. “Τhe country is safe and hospitable, beautiful during all seasons and offers a unique diversity of mainland and island destinations,” he said.

The workshop hosted 160 Greek entrepreneurs and representatives of local authorities that attended scheduled meetings with 120 Israeli tourism professionals, including the president of the Israel-Greece Chamber of Commerce, Cobi Bitton; the CEO of the Israel Association of Travel Agents & Consultants (ITTAA), Tali Lau; and representatives of airlines that schedule both commercial and charter flights.

Furthermore, GNTO’s promotional B2B event hosted representatives of Greece’s 13 regions, as well as 111 executives of top tourism enterprises from all over the country.

During the event, discussions focused on the establishment of new business partnerships and the creation of thematic tourism packages for Israeli tourists to more Greek destinations.

The event was held with the support of AEGEAN Airlines.
