Located in Kardamyli, in the area of Mani, the property is surrounded by an olive grove, and therefore has been named “Liodentra” from the word “elaeodendron” that means “olive tree” in Greek. A seaside family retreat, the stone-built complex consists of a ground level studio and two two-storey houses. They all offer views to the surrounding landscape and direct access to the deep blue Mediterranean sea. Stone, wood and metal were used by local craftsmen, resulting in an inspiring example of local architecture. The two houses feature antique furniture from all over the world. These include an authentic 19th century treasure chest, a German bookcase from the Alps, a vintage English washstand, Persian carpets and French engravings. Each two-storey house extends to 135sq.m. and comprises two bedrooms that can accommodate at least four persons, plus two and three bathrooms respectively as well as two large living areas. They also feature a traditional balcony and a large terrace with metal pergola – a great option for relaxing afternoons or dinner under the moonlight. The 38sq.m. ground floor studio is a small-scale cottage that has proven to be a favorite for couples. It comprises a single room and has a separate bathroom. It is similarly built with reverence for local traditions. Combining tradition with modern comforts, the complex features a 13-meter swimming pool and sun terrace with shade provided by olive trees and umbrellas. The property includes a play area for children and is considered ideal for special celebrations, such as weddings or parties with friends. The area is also an ideal choice for fishing or exploring the sea. Ritsa beach is a few steps away from “Liodentra”, and its clear blue waters are perfect for swimming or canoeing.
