In this direction, Patoulis announced the creation of an online platform which will promote Attica’s food products to foreign markets, as well as focus on boosting extroversion through participation in exhibitions and major international events. He added that another initiative in the pipeline is the establishment of a school of tourism professions and gastronomy. Key to achieving the targets set include raising awareness about the Mediterranean Diet, acknowledged internationally as one of the heathiest in the world, as well as supporting exports and Attica’s primary sector. “This is also our challenge in Attica, to showcase its gastronomic wealth… to promote and spread the word about our gastronomic heritage and products that have been universally recognized as products promoting health, wellness, and longevity.” Photo Source: @Expotrof More than 350 producers showcased over 3,000 Greek food items at this year’s EXPOTROF, which featured Crete as the honoured country.
