For 2020, PrivateFly has selected 74 airports across six regional categories, namely Europe, North America, Central & South America & The Caribbean, Asia, Africa & The Middle East, and Australasia that offer the most stunning approach to landing. “We’ve shortlisted airports that have proved popular in previous polls – ranging from iconic cityscapes, to island and coastal approaches, to mountain top runways,” PrivateFly said. The airport of Skiathos has been selected among 12 other airports in Europe, such as Aosta Valley Airport, Italy; Barra Airport, Scotland, UK; Geneva (Cointrin) Airport, Switzerland; London City Airport, UK; and Nice Cote d’Azur Airport, France. The airport is said to offer spectacular landings due to its geographical position, also providing plane spotters with the chance to closely observe aircraft landing.
