Located on Kanapitsa beach, 8km from the island’s airport, the 3-star, 79-room Plaza Hotel has two pools, a restaurant, and a chapel. BriQ Properties invested a total of 3.5 million euros for the acquisition and plans to refurbish the facility by the end of the year. BriQ Properties signed a management agreement of the property with HotelKeys, a subsidiary of HotelBrain Group. Skiathos island, Greece With the addition of the Plaza Hotel, BriQ Properties now has five hotels in its portfolio valued at 20 million euros offering a total capacity of 266 rooms on the islands of Paros, Tinos, Corfu and Skiathos, as well as a new project in Athens. “We continue to invest in hotels at destinations offering a mature tourism product such as Skiathos, which has an international airport that welcomes over 200,000 tourists annually. This investment yields a satisfactory annual return on our shareholders’ equity and provides the opportunity for value added in the future,” said Anna Apostolidou, CEO BriQ Properties REIC. Earlier this year, BriQ Properties purchased the 38-room Mr & Mrs White Corfu resort on the island of Corfu, near Acharavi beach for 3 million euros.
