The Parīlio Hotel, located on the Greek island of Paros, has been included on Travel + Leisure’s (T+L) “It List 2020″ of the Best New Hotels in the World.

Included in the magazine’s March issue, the “It List 2020″ is a selection of the best new and renovated hotels in the world.

“A truly standout property can offer new insight into a beloved place; bring fresh energy to a been-there, done-that neighborhood; even become a destination in its own right,” T+L says.

To make the list, the magazine consulted its trusted network of travel pros and jetsetting writers and compiled a guide to the essential openings and reopenings of the past year. The result is T+L’s  2020 “It” List with 72 properties scattered around the world.

Parīlio was selected by the magazine’s author, Michael Joseph Gross, for its refined facilities and high-end hospitality services.

A member of the Design Hotels, Parīlio opened its doors in the summer of 2019. Its name is a combination of the Greek words “Paros” and “ilios” which in Greek means “sun”.

“Thirty-three suites, each with private patio, decorated in cool and soothing earth tones, with furniture made by local carpenters, offer shelter from the sun, with views of nearby hills — including one topped by a Mycenaean acropolis,” Gross says.

“A refined and lilting sense of occasion pervades the vast pool area; and the restaurant, Mr. E., fuses Parian and French cuisine with joie de vivre. The perfect base from which to explore the island’s riches, Parīlio is also a place you may never want to leave.”

Parīlio is located on Naoussa bay near the popular Kolybithres beach.

T+L has also included Paros among the 50 Best Places to Travel in 2020.
