According to the event’s organizers, the Hellenic Athletics Federation (SEGAS) and the Municipality of Athens, the decision is in line with the Greek government’s measures that aim to limit the spread of the virus. “The new date and further information will be announced soon,” SEGAS said. The Athens Half Marathon includes a half-marathon race, a 5km and a 3km race, as well as a 1km route especially designed for children and people with disabilities. It takes place annually in the Greek capital with the participation of professional and amateur runners from Greece and abroad.
