The prestigious biennial exhibition and all its sports events and conferences will take place at the Metropolitan Expo in Athens during October 26-30. “We need to safeguard the health and wellbeing of our exhibitors and visitors,” said Posidonia Exhibitions SA, organizer of the event, also adding that it was complying with the guidelines of the World Health Organization (WHO) and the Greek government. This year’s event was expected to be the biggest ever, with over 2,000 exhibitors from 90 countries, thousands of international visitors, key government officials and policy makers. According to the organizer, travel and logistical arrangements as well as the shipment of exhibits have put pressure on exhibitors and visitors amid the current uncertain situation. Meanwhile, Posidonia’s supporting organisations have also expressed their will and support to this decision. “We believe that taking action at this time was necessary for the benefit of our exhibitors, visitors and the event,” Posidonia Exhibitions SA added. Further details on the October schedule will soon be available on www.posidonia-events.com.
