Air Travel Ellinair Temporarily Suspends Flight Schedule by GTP editing team 18 March 2020 written by GTP editing team 18 March 2020 0 comments Share 0FacebookTwitterLinkedinWhatsappEmail 9 Greek airline Ellinair has announced the temporary suspension of its flight schedule in response to the travel restrictions applied in Greece and the EU due to the Covid-19 outbreak. The airline will suspend all domestic flights starting from Tuesday, March 31 (midnight), until April 30 (midnight). In addition, it will cancel some of the Athens – Thessaloniki routes scheduled during March 20-30. Meanwhile, Ellinair from March 16 has suspended all international scheduled flights until April 30. Charters will not be affected if allowed by regulation or law. According to an announcement by the airline, the travel restrictions and medical safety advise require people to stay at home has necessitated the aforementioned cancellations. “Ellinair continues to fully comply with the guidelines of the World Health Organization (WHO) and the Greek government,” the airline said. Affected passengers will be able to choose between a full refund or a change of travel date until October 24, 2020. If the ticket has been booked by a travel agent, Ellinair asks passengers to contact their travel agent directly. The airline will contact all passengers where contact information is available by e-mail or telephone or via their travel agent.
