The Rhodes International Marathon Organizing Committee has set a new date for the event on April 18, 2021. The Committee said it was adapting to the guidelines of the Greek government and the World Health Organization (WHO), since protecting public health is of utmost importance. The Rhodes International Marathon usually takes place at the start of the summer tourist season, aiming to stimulate travel and promote the island of Rhodes. Every year, it attracts runners from all over the world, who combine sports and leisure in one of the most popular destinations in Greece. The event includes a marathon and a half-marathon race, as well as a 10- and a 5km route that are conducted on the island’s coastal road with the aim to highlight Rhodes’ landmark sites. According to the organizer, all entries made thus far are valid for next year’s race, while participants will receive more information via e-mail.
