The hotel complex is among Greece’s seasonal accommodation tourist units that will remain closed until April 30, due to the measures announced by the Greek government aiming to stop the spread of the coronavirus (Covid-19) pandemic in the country. “We are responding to the ministerial decisions and the instructions issued by the relevant services, in order to prevent the spread of the coronavirus. We have set our customers’, personnel’s and partners’ safety as our top priority,” he added. These may include the extension of the food & beverage outlet operating hours, the increase of distance between restaurant tables and seats where possible, as well as the implementation of access control measures by properly trained staff. For as long as the Porto Carras hotels remain closed, the staff will continue to perform its daily tasks in line with the protective measures announced. According to Stengos, the resort is implementing all the required procedures for the disinfection and sanitation of all areas including guest rooms, common areas, conference rooms, kitchens, restaurants, bars, outdoor and indoor pools, central administration offices, the spa etc. In addition, the maintenance and improvement of the resort’s facilities and infrastructure continues. Konstantinos Stengos also thanked the guests of Porto Carras for not canceling their bookings. “This unprecedented global health crisis will surely end, and the desire for vacations and carefree moments will return vigorously. We promise everyone that we will fully meet their requirements and that their stay in Porto Carras will once again fulfill their aspirations.” he said. I believe it highly likely that the date of 30 April will be extended for both accommodation and air transport.
