The ski centers in Parnassos, central Greece, and in Pella, northern Greece, will remain closed for the rest of the 2019-2020 ski season, aiming to limit the spread of the coronavirus (Covid-19) in the country.

“Following the temporary suspension of the operation of our ski centers in Parnassos (Kellaria and Fterolakka) and VoraKaimaktsalan (Pella) and despite the fact that there is still plenty of snow, unfortunately we are wrapping up operations for this year’s 2019-2020 ski season, abiding to the coronavirus restrictions on crowding and gatherings,” the Public Properties Company (ETAD) said on Thursday.

The company reminded that it strictly follows the government measures for prevention of the spread of Covid-19 in the Greece, which include the closing of ski resorts, beaches and museums.

“ETAD’s decision was taken aiming to ensure public health and keep all of us safe, so that we can enjoy the snow and our beautiful mountains during the next ski season,” the company said.
