EKAV provides the country’s ambulance services. The company offered a Citan and two Sprinter vans that are intended to be used for the transportation and distribution of medical equipment and necessary materials. “This will ensure the smooth operation of EKAV’s ambulances for the rescue of our fellow citizens,” Mercedes-Benz Hellas said in an announcement. “Since the beginning of the spread of the coronavirus in Greece, EKAV has been at the forefront of this battle. Its employees are our ‘everyday heroes’ that perform their duty – along with the country’s medical professionals – with self-denial and professionalism,” the company added. A subsidiary of the Mercedes-Benz AG Group, Mercedes-Benz Hellas SA was established in 1981. It distributes passenger and commercial vehicles, as well as the Mercedes-Benz and Setra buses, in Greece.
