Covid-19 Actions taken on a local level Covid-19: SETE Working on Health Protocols for Greek Tourism Businesses by GTP editing team 28 April 2020 written by GTP editing team 28 April 2020 0 comments Share 0FacebookTwitterLinkedinWhatsappEmail 12 The Greek Tourism Confederation (SETE) on Tuesday announced that it is cooperating with inspection and certification bodies to put together protocols, adapted to the demands of the health system, for the seamless and safe operation of tourism enterprises during the post-coronavirus period. Photo source: Health Ministry The confederation is cooperating with its member companies Cosmocert, SGS Hellas, TUV Austria and TÜV Hellas (TÜV Nord Group), aiming to compose “realistic, sustainable and applicable” health protocols for hotels, tourist coaches and ferries. The companies are providing their expertise pro bono. According to SETE President Yiannis Retsos, the aim is to deliver their plans to the government as soon as possible for processing and decision making. “It goes without saying that we will cooperate with all our member bodies, but also with those that are working on similar plans, such as the Hellenic Chamber of Hotels,” Retsos said. The Hellenic Chamber of Hotels and its special working group recently put together a series of positions on how hotels should operate and submitted them to EODY, Greece’s public health organization.
