Air France will resume its flights from Paris to Athens this month, aiming to gradually restore and strengthen the connection between Greece and France.

According to an announcement, the flight from Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport to Athens will take place on May 23, once again on May 30 and then Air France will increase the number of flights, gradually operating more in the weeks to follow.

In addition, from June 27, the airline will resume its connection from Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport with Heraklion, Crete, with one weekly flight.

Health measures

In line with French instructions, Air France will be asking all customers to wear face masks throughout their journey.

To ensure the highest level of health and safety, Air France will progressively implement temperature checks on departure from all its flights. These systematic checks will be carried out with contactless infrared thermometers.

The airline also implements physical distancing on board where possible,  has reinforced its daily aircraft cleaning procedures and introduced a specific procedure for disinfecting aircraft.

In addition, the air in the cabin is renewed every 3 minutes. The air recycling system on board Air France aircraft is equipped with “High Efficiency Particulate Air” or HEPA filters, identical to those used in hospital operating theatres.

Air France, in cooperation with the French and international authorities, had previously adjusted its schedule for many international flights, including to Greece.

“Τhe connection between the French capital and Athens did not stop throughout the Covid-19 crisis, with the aim to serve the movement of passengers and goods,” the company said.

Moreover, the company informs its passengers that all itineraries may be subject to change due to travel restrictions imposed by governments and / or international authorities, so passengers should be informed of their flights on airfrance.gr.
