Concerts, festivals, performances and exhibitions are an integral part of our lives, especially during these unprecedented times,” the municipality said. During summer and autumn 2020, from July to October, the municipality will offer its Technopolis cultural center and other venues – including the rooftop of the City Hall building – free of charge to artists that wish to hold concerts, theater performances, dance shows, screenings and other events. The required sound and lighting equipment, technical and security staff etc., will be provided at the venues. According to the municipality, all venues meet the necessary health regulations. Moreover, the Municipality said it will also support music industry workers, through the production of new songs with the contribution of the Athina 98.4 municipal radio. Also, aiming to make culture accessible to audiences in remote areas, the municipality said it would offer high quality digital experiences through live streaming events, that meet the requirements for the protection of public health.
