COVID-19 Restarting Travel & Tourism in Greece Ferry Travel in Greece: Passengers Must Fill Out Health Questionnaires Before Boarding by GTP editing team 19 May 2020 written by GTP editing team 19 May 2020 0 comments Share 0FacebookTwitterLinkedinWhatsappEmail 18 As part of the new rules for travel by ferry in Greece, during the post-Covid-19 period, all passengers are now obliged to fill out a health declaration questionnaire before boarding ferries in Greek ports. The questionnaire is mandatory for a domestic ferry trip (travel between ports in Greece) over 30 minutes. A similar questionnaire must be filled out by passengers and crew members before boarding ships that operate international routes (Greece-Italy). Passengers are requested to hand their questionnaires to crew members of the ships they will be boarding. If a questionnaire reveals that a passenger has been exposed to a Covid-19 patient (in any of the ways described in it) in the last 14 days before travel, or if a passenger shows symptoms, boarding will not be allowed. All questionnaires will be kept by the coastal shipping companies for two months from the date received, in accordance with the personal data protection legislation (GDPR). Ferry passengers are requested to have boarded at least one hour prior to departure to avoid any inconvenience. The questionnaire for domestic travel in Greece can be downloaded here. and for travel on the Greece-Italy line can be found here. Both questionnaires can also be downloaded from the official website of the Greek Ministry of Maritime Affairs and Insular Policy or obtained from travel agencies and coastal shipping companies.
