The carrier will initially conduct five flights per week from Schiphol to Athens Intetnational Airport (AIA), as part of its 2020 summer schedule. “KLM starts its summer program with a significantly reduced network due to the COVID-19 crisis. Its flights will be conducted based on national (RIVM) and international (WHO, IATA) guidelines, and complies with international law and regulations,” the company said in an announcement. Routes may change depending on travel restrictions applied by governments or/and international authorities. Since the COVID-19 outbreak began, KLM has introduced measures on screening and hygiene to protect customers and KLM staff, on board and at airports. As of May 11, masks are compulsory during boarding and on board flights. Passengers are responsible for having their own face masks.
