The challenges of global economic recovery in the post-COVID-19 era will be among the main issues to be discussed during the 5th Delphi Economic Forum, to be held online from June 9-12.

Titled “The Day After”, the four-day event once again has invited Greek and foreign state officials, business leaders, academics, scientists and experts to share insight on significant issues that concern the post-coronavirus reality in the fields of health, employment, society, digital transformation, entrepreneurship and geopolitics.

The annual event will be held under the auspices of the President of the Hellenic Republic Katerina Sakellaropoulou, who will attend the forum’s opening on June 9 at 12.30pm.

Among the event’s highlights is a discussion to be held between Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis and historian Niall Ferguson on June 11.

The list of attendees also includes European Commission VP for Protecting our European Way of Life Margaritis Schinas and commissioners Stella Kyriakides (Health and Food Safety) and Olivér Várhelyi (Neighborhood and Enlargement).

Originally scheduled to take place in Delphi, central Greece, in March, the forum was postponed for June due to the Covid-19 pandemic. Taking into consideration the collective effort to eliminate the pandemic and the social distancing measures that are in place, the organizer – the Delphi Economic Forum – decided to deliver this year’s forum as a digital event.

The Delphi Forum will broadcast an eight-hour live program on a daily basis from a specially designed studio at the Zapio Mansion in central Athens, without the presence of a live audience. Its program will also be enriched with real-time connections with various parts of the world.

The event will be broadcast live at www.delphiforum.gr. Registration for the online forum is free.
