The European Business Awards for the Environment celebrate companies at the forefront of eco-innovation, or that have a respect for the environment at the very core of their business principles. Costa Nostrum’s proposals received a high score on a national level in the previous phase of the competition, and were sent to the European Committee to participate in the finals along with proposals from other European countries. “We are optimistic that our proposals will be worthy ambassadors of Greece during this European competition,” Costa Nostrum CEO Vasilis Zisimopoulos said. In addition, the “Smart Green Bins for Beaches”, a proposal submitted by Costa Nostrum’s subsidiary, AELIA – Sustainable Engineering, has also entered the final phase of the EBAE Awards in the Products & Services category. The EBAE awards ceremony is expected to take place in late 2020. In the meantime, the Panhellenic Association of Environmental Protection Companies (PASEPPE) plans to hold a special ceremony in Athens, in the fall, to award the winning proposals that represent Greece in the EBAE finals. Costa Nostrum is a certification standard for the sustainable management and development of beaches in the Mediterranean.
