Domotel Hotels & Resorts has announced that it is reopening its six luxury boutique and lifestyle hotels, located throughout Greece, in June, this way actively taking part in the restart of Greek tourism in the aftermath of the coronavirus crisis. The chain operates hotels in popular tourist destinations, which are easily accessible by car, such as Athens (Domotel Kastri), Thessaloniki (Domotel Olympia), Volos (Domotel Xenia Volos), Karditsa (Domotel Arni), Sivota (Domotel Agios Nikolaos) and Arachova (Domotel Anemolia). Taking under consideration the new reality that the Covid-19 pandemic has created for the tourism and hospitality sectors, Domotel Hotels & Resorts has partnered with Revival Consulting Services to create the B&W certification standard of Swiss Approval, for the health and safety of its visitors. In this context, Domotel Hotels & Resorts announced a new service within its hotels – the B&W Department – which will consist of: – The Blue Office, to ensure the effective and immediate provision of medical care and basic primary health services to its guests in case of emergency. – The White Office, which will deal with the organization and implementation of hygiene and prevention rules to avoid and limit possible transmission of diseases. Domotel Kastri, Athens. “The safety and health of our guests and staff are a priority for us and in this context we have chosen one of our hotels to be the ‘lab hotel’ for the development of a certification standard that will be a legacy for the future of tourism,” Domotel Hotels & Resorts CEO Konstantinos Alexopoulos said. According to Alexopoulos, only if everyone shows faith, perseverance, vision, responsibility and participate in a common strategy, will tourism be able to, once again, be the protagonist of Greece’s economy. “For more than 15 years Domotel Hotels & Resorts has been supporting Greek hospitality and we will continue to do so again this year, in the difficult times we are going through,” he added.
