Company updates Larissa’s Hotel Metropol Opens with Safety Measures in Place by GTP editing team 3 June 2020 written by GTP editing team 3 June 2020 0 comments Share 0FacebookTwitterLinkedinWhatsappEmail 7 The Hotel Metropol, located in Larissa, central Greece, has reopened its doors offering accommodation services in line with the health protocols announced by the Greek Tourism Ministry, and in accordance to the guidelines of the World Health Organization (WHO) and the World Tourism Organization (UNWTO). Greece’s year-round hotels, including Hotel Metropol, remained closed from March 23 until June 1, due to the Covid-19 pandemic. The hotel has applied all the necessary social distancing measures to ensure the safety of its visitors and staff. Breakfast is now served separately to each customer; check-in and check-out hours have become more flexible; antiseptics are available in all rooms and common areas; while the rooms are meticulously cleaned and well ventilated after each use. “We will be happy to host you in the bustling city of Larissa,” Hotel Metropol CEO Eirini Papaioannou said. Hotel Metropol has 86 double and single rooms, two suites and two rooms specially equipped for guests with limited mobility. In 2019, the hotel completed a major refurbishment project, which included revamping its spaces and upgrading its room equipment. All rooms are equipped with double glazing windows, air conditioning, satellite TV, a mini bar and WiFi. Larissa is the capital and largest city of the Thessaly region in Greece. A national transport hub, the city is linked by road and rail with the port of Volos, the cities of Thessaloniki and Athens.
