The update follows Greece’s latest announcements for the safe restoration of transport connectivity of Greece, as framed based on the European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) list of airports. From June 15 onwards, the frequencies of AEGEAN’s domestic flights to and from all airports in Greece, as well as international destinations and frequencies to and from Athens and Thessaloniki, will gradually increase. As of July 1, and subject to further ease of travel restrictions, the summer network, both in terms of frequencies and number of destinations, will resume. Flights to and from UK, the Netherlands, Spain and Italy are subject to further adjustments, should existing aviation directives (NOTAMs) and restrictions prevail beyond June 15. AEGEAN’s entire domestic network of 31 destinations that recurrently operated throughout the lockdown, will also increase progressively to facilitate the connectivity of island destinations with the international network. By July 15, AEGEAN will fly to 42 international destinations from Athens and 7 destinations from Thessaloniki. By June 15, further announcements will be made for the direct international network from AEGEAN’s hubs in Heraklion, Rhodes and Chania with flights starting early in July. By July 15, AEGEAN expects some 1,000 flights to operate per week and the number of operating flights to reach 1,600 by the end of August. To facilitate passenger flexibility, under such a shifting environment, AEGEAN is offering, for all new bookings until June 15, for the entire network and in all fare categories (with fares for domestic tickets starting from 29 euros and flight dates from July 1), unlimited ticket changes with no rebooking fees and a checked baggage up to 23kg. ‘Hold my Booking’ service Additionally, through its “Hold my Booking” service, AEGEAN enables passengers to keep a selected flight on hold at the current available price for 14 days, for both domestic and international flights. The service is valid for bookings until June 15 and a small charge applies for the service.
