The staff of Makedonia Airport are welcoming international passengers to Thessaloniki with the tourism logo of the Greek northern city on their face masks. The masks were provided by the Thessaloniki Tourism Organization (TTO) and Fraport Greece, manager of Makedonia Airport, to mark the reopening of the city’s airport to international flights following three months of Covid-19 travel restrictions. “I believe in good collaborations and Fraport has contributed to the development and modernization of infrastructure at Makedonia airport, always aiming to increase the number of tourists and enhance Thessaloniki’s image,” TTO President Voula Patoulidou said. The new face masks aim to present the city’s “hospitable face” to visitors. Thessaloniki’s logo consists of a heart with colorful mosaics in shades of red, blue and yellow and the message “Many stories, one heart”. Its design represents the organization’s objective, which shows that Thessaloniki is a city with many stories to tell. Patoulidou personally delivered the new face masks to Fraport Chief Operating Officer Ilias Maragakis and Makedonia Airport Manager Yiannis Vogiatzis on Monday morning.
