Minister Georgiadis was given a tour around the new areas of Costa Navarino that include the Navarino Bay, a luxury resort with 99 suites and villas on a 2km seafront; the Navarino Waterfront, a modern, lifestyle resort with a seaside market and 200 rooms, suites and bungalows; and the Navarino Hills, where two 18-hole golf courses, a clubhouse and ancillary facilities, are under development. The total amount of TEMES’ new investments is 250 million euros and is added to the 600 million euros that have so far been invested to develop Costa Navarino. According to TEMES, the total investment of all phases of Costa Navarino will exceed 1.2 billion euros. “A multipurpose tourism destination is being created and complements the already existing major tourism destination of Costa Navarino. The beauty and hospitality of Messinia has crossed the Greek borders thanks to these people who have a vision, a plan and passion,” Minister Georgiadis said. The new investments, which follow the principles of sustainable development and management, are expected to have a significant impact on the area and establish it as a quality year-round destination. According to TEMES, the new resorts will create 1,670 direct and indirect jobs, in addition to the 4,000 positions already created at Costa Navarino. “Our new investments, which are in full swing, are a continuation of our vision for the development of Messinia. Our goal is to establish Costa Navarino and the whole area as a model destination, not only for someone to visit but also to live here,” said TEMES President Achilles Constantakopoulos. TEMES also recently introduced Rolling Greens, a new residential neighborhood situated at Navarino Dunes, where a number of luxury villas for private ownership are available.
