Titled “Opening Borders and Air Transport Abroad”, the nationwide online survey was conducted during June 16-18, after Greece reopened Athens and Thessaloniki airports to international travel. According the survey, 40 percent of participants said they felt “quite safe” or “very safe” with the current health situation, following the country’s open to travel. On the other hand, 58 percent said they did not feel “very safe” / “safe at all”. Meanwhile, only one in 10 participants will “most likely” or “for sure” travel outside Greece in the next four months. Those who do not intend to travel abroad mainly point to the lack of money and fear of Covid–19, as well as shortage of time. The women that took part in the survey appeared more concerned over the coronavirus pandemic compared to men and referred to the coronavirus a discouraging factor for trips abroad.
