Achilleas Hotel Opens to Visitors in Athens

The Achilleas Hotel in the center of Athens recently reopened its doors to visitors, welcoming them in a fully renovated and safe environment.

The hotel has applied enhanced cleaning procedures in accordance with the new COVID-19 health and safety standards announced by the Ministries of Health and Tourism.

“To ensure our guests’ safety, we have enhanced our existing high standards of hygiene and cleanliness. We’ve included a reinforced cleaning program with the frequent disinfection of all high-touched public areas such as elevators, reception, door handles and tables,” the hotel’s management said in an announcement.

Achilleas Hotel has also implemented an enhanced in-room cleaning program, as well as new standards to ensure social distancing measures are maintained throughout the hotel, including the reception and lobby areas.

Furthermore, all staff members concluded a compulsory training program before the hotel’s reopening to ensure guests safety.

The hotel has also adopted the following procedures:

– Linen is washed in high temperature,
– Face masks are required for staff in public areas,
– Floors have been marked to ensure social distancing rules are met,
– Hand sanitizer is available to guests and staff,
– Public areas are regularly cleaned.

Achilleas Hotel belongs to TourHotel, a family-run hospitality group based in Greece. The property features comfortable spacious rooms ideal for families, friends, couples, and business travelers.

Located at Syntagma Square in Athens’ commercial center, the hotel is also within a walking distance from landmark sites including Plaka, the Acropolis and the Acropolis Museum.

The dates for the reopening of the rest TourHotel properties and conference venues will be announced in the coming weeks.
