Greece announced on Friday the launch of a far-reaching awareness-raising campaign with Covid-19 precautions as it prepares to open its regional airports to tourists next week.

As of July 1, holidaymakers from Europe will be able to visit Greece through 41 entry points, including 27 airports, seven border areas and seven ports.

Aiming to inform visitors about Covid-19 protection measures and ways to ensure a safe and pleasant holiday, the General Secretariat for Civil Protection launched its “Enjoy your Stay and Stay Safe” campaign based on health ministry and World Health Organization (WHO) data and guidelines.

Carried out in collaboration with the National Public Health Organization (EODY), the Civil Aviation Authority, Fraport Greece, and Athens International Airport, the nine-point campaign will be running at all of the country’s entry points and relevant printed material in three languages will also be available.

The campaign will be overseen by Deputy Civil Protection and Crisis Management Minister Nikos Hardalias, who will be inspecting entry points and meeting with local government officials to ensure the best possible coordination.

The minister will also coordinate procedures for the safe start of regional airport operations in cooperation with local authorities at each destination. Eighteen airports across Greece will be accepting flights as of July 1, including those on Zakynthos, Skyros, Kefalonia, Corfu, Ioannina, Kalamata, Kythira, Chania, Heraklion, Karpathos, Rhodes, Kos, Samos, Chios, Mytilene, Lemnos, Kavala and Skiathos.

“As of July 1, holidaymakers from Europe will be able to visit Greece through 41 entry points, including 27 airports, seven border areas and seven port”

FROM EUROPE – WHAT THAT MEANS?. Albania is Europe or Ukraine is Europe?

The British’s say that Ukraine will not be allowed because they has been very low tested (second lower COVID19 tested country in “Europe” after Albania and the Ukrainians say that “we are welcome to Greece from 1st July 2020”: what is the truth?
