Minister to Visit Regional Airports as Greek Tourism Opens

Tourism Minister Harry Theoharis on Wednesday will visit the regional airports of Corfu, Mykonos, Rhodes and Heraklion on Crete.

As of tomorrow, holidaymakers from abroad will be able to fly to Greece, as the country officially opens to tourism. Theoharis will welcome Greece’s first incoming international flights and inspect the health and safety procedures implemented at the airports.

The Minister will visit the airport of Corfu at 8:45am, of Mykonos at 1pm, Rhodes at 6pm and the Heraklion airport at 8.15pm.

Theoharis will remain on Crete for the next few days to hold meetings with tourism professionals and local government officials in Chania, Rethymno and Heraklion.
