Named “Radisson Blu Zaffron Resort”, the property is located in Kamari, a seaside village on the southeastern coast of Santorini. Its development is part of the group’s plan to expand its portfolio of properties across Greece’s main cities and resort destinations. The Radisson Hotel Group also operates hospitality properties in Athens and on the island of Crete. The Radisson Blu Zaffron Resort is scheduled to open in the second quarter of 2021. “We are proud to partner with Fais Group to bring Europe’s largest upper-upscale hotel brand to the established luxury island of Santorini. Radisson Blu’s newest signing is part of our expansion strategy for Greece as we continue to strengthen our resort portfolio across the Mediterranean region and beyond,” said Elie Milky, vice president development of Radisson Hotel Group. The Radisson Blu Zaffron Resort, Santorini will feature 102 spacious rooms, suites or exclusive villas with a size of around 70sqm. The resort will include an all-day dining restaurant, a pool bar, an outdoor swimming pool and a wellness center with a fully equipped gym to revitalize the body, mind and soul. The property will also cater to MICE tourism with its 134sqm meeting room, considered ideal for any social gathering or business activity. The Radisson Blu Zaffron Resort is only 150 meters away from the blue flag awarded beach of Kamari and its seafront pedestrian road offers a number of taverns for guests to enjoy traditional Greek cuisine and music. The seaside village is also an ideal starting point to explore the Mesa Vouno mountain and its archaeological site of Ancient Thera, a landmark of Santorini with historical temples and public institutions. The Radisson Blu Zaffron Resort, Santorini is only a short drive away from the island’s main attractions and the Santorini International Airport.
