Greek ferry operator Fast Ferries is offering its passengers the chance to “travel” to the island of Tinos through a series of thematic videos screened on board its ferries.

The videos are part of a tourism campaign launched by the Municipality of Tinos and are accompanied with the message “Tinos. The Muse of the Aegean “.

“Just like a muse, Tinos inspires and invites travelers to live unique experiences, connect with nature, relax or participate in activities and feel the island’s magic with all their senses,” the company said in an announcement.

The initiative is based on a collaboration between Evgenia Aloimonou, Deputy Mayor of Tinos; Maria Tzannou, the managing director of consulting agency The Story Tailors; and Fast Ferries.

“During these difficult times, it is very important to protect the health of the island’s residents and visitors, as well as to support tourism entrepreneurship by implementing targeted promotion activities that highlight the unique characteristics of Tinos and the alternative holiday experiences we offer for short or long getaways,” Deputy Mayor Aloimonou said.

In addition, Maria Tzannou stressed the significance of creating quality digital content and its distribution through platforms available to travelers.

Tinos is currently promoted through 10 thematic videos available with Greek and English subtitles, that present all the experiences that make the island an attractive all-year-round destination.
