RINA is a global corporation that offers a wide range of high quality tailored solutions in the energy, marine, certification, transport & infrastructure sectors. In the wake of the coronavirus (Covid-19) pandemic and to help restart economic activity it devised the Biosafety Trust Certification, a management system certification aimed to prevent and mitigate the spread of infections in crowded public places and to provide greater health safety. “Minoan Lines is fully committed to providing safe transport to its passengers and business partners, and offering the best travel experience,” Minoan Lines Managing Director Antonis Maniadakis said. By obtaining Rina’s certification, Minoan Lines confirms that it has fully complied with its Biosafety Trust system, to protect the health of its passengers and partners from Covid-19 on land and at sea. “Certifications from Greek and foreign organizations for safe and quality transportation form the core of Minoan Lines’ philosophy and practice on land and at sea,” Maniadakis said, adding that with RINA’s Biosafety Trust Certification, the company proves its responsibility, dedication and sensitivity, as well as the faithful implementation of the measures. The Greek shipping company is also operating in accordance with the guidelines set by the Hellenic National Public Health Organization and other designated authorities. “At this time, a concrete sign of the effort to minimize health risks is essential to regain trust and the company [Minoan Lines] has fully embraced this concept to strengthen the dedicated procedures in their management system,” said Paolo Moretti, CEO at RINA Services.
