Passengers traveling through Thessaloniki Airport “Makedonia” will soon have the opportunity to undergo Covid-19 molecular detection (rRT-PCR) testing.

According to an announcement by the airport’s manager Fraport Greece, the Interbalkan Medical Center of Thessaloniki has created a special sample taking unit within the premises of the “Makedonia” airport at the arrivals level.

The service will be available from August 21 to all arriving and/or departing passengers as well as to all other interested parties. The price for passengers is set at 70 euros per test.

The testing unit will be open from Monday to Sunday, from 8:30am to 10:30pm. Test results will be made available approximately 6 hours after sample collection.

The sample taking unit at Thessaloniki’s airport is an initiative of Fraport Greece in cooperation with the Athens Medical Center in an aim to deal effectively with the coronavirus (Covid-19) pandemic.
