The video is part of a broader campaign created by the Chamber under the title “Chania: Always Pure” that is currently running on social media, targeting 3 million European and 300,000 Greek travelers. The video presents recent photos of Chania that highlight the area’s unique beaches, mountain routes, religious and cultural sites, rich culinary tradition, high-level hospitality and gastronomy infrastructure. The new video also aims to ease concerns of potential visitors by offering information on the strict health protocols adopted by local authorities and enterprises against COVID-19, based on the guidelines of the Greek government and the World Health Organization (i.e. use of gloves and masks, social distancing rules etc). The new video is currently playing on the Chania Chamber’s profiles on Facebook, Instagram and YouTube. The campaign and the new video was presented during a recent event in Chania in the presence of the chamber’s president, Antonis Rokakis, local MPs and representatives of municipal and regional authorities among others.
