Greece is included on Israel’s “green” list of countries from which Israelis and foreign residents are allowed to arrive without needing to quarantine. Israel’s green list was approved by Health Ministry Director-General Chezy Levy on Sunday and includes the following countries: Canada, Austria, Estonia, Italy, Bulgaria, United Kingdom, Georgia, Germany, Denmark, Hong Kong, Hungary, Jordan, Greece, Latvia, Lithuania, New Zealand, Slovenia, Finland, Cyprus and Croatia. Additionally, although coronavirus (Covid-19) cases remain relatively high in Israel, Greece, Bulgaria and Croatia are now accepting travelers from the country. Travelers from Israel to Bulgaria and Croatia will need to present a negative Covid-19 test upon arrival. The test must be taken taken 72 hours before arrival to Bulgaria and 48 hours before arrival to Croatia. According to reports, neither country will require a test upon landing, nor any isolation. Greece: Stricter rules for travelers from Israel Greece, however, has stricter rules as according to an aviation directive by the Hellenic Civil Aviation Authority (HCAA), only 600 Israeli tourists are allowed to visit per week and arrive only at four destinations: Athens, Crete, Thessaloniki, and Corfu. (It has not been clarified how the 600 slots would be allocated.) All travelers entering Greece from Israel will need to present a negative coronavirus test to Greek authorities, taken 72 hours before arrival. Moreover, all permanent residents of Israel entering Greece will be required to take another Covid-19 test upon landing and should remain confined to their place of temporary residence until they receive the results. It is reminded that all travelers to Greece are still obliged to complete the Passenger Locator Form (PLF) 24 hours before entering the country.
