Travel Bloggers Greece (TBG), the first professional blogger networking group in the country, recently spent four days in Argolida in the Peloponnese to explore the destination’s tourism options and highlight local attractions, nature and cuisine.

The trip to Argolida was the group’s first excursion since Greece reopened to travel following the coronavirus (Covid-19) lockdown.

The eight Travel Bloggers Greece members were hosted by the Tourism Association of Tolo, which followed a number of safety measures in accordance to the country’s Covid-19 protocols.

“We are living in extraordinary times right now, and as travel bloggers we have the responsibility to showcase the new reality, which is not easy, but we feel that it is our duty to continue to support Greek destinations and businesses in any way we can,” said Travel Bloggers Greece’s co-founder Elena Sergeeva.

“The Tourism Association of Tolo did a remarkable job in organising our trip, taking into consideration all the precautions and safety measures… We want to show our followers and readers that travel is possible, as long as we are all responsible and abide by the new health protocols,” she added.

Quickly adapting to the current guidelines for health and safety procedures and changing customer needs, the trip was also an example in keeping up with all safety and social distancing protocols required while travelling.

Due to its small size, proximity to nature and open spaces, the members found Tolo to be an ideal tourist destination for domestic and international visitors returning to travel.

“We were very happy to welcome the members of Travel Bloggers Greece in Tolo and look forward to their next trip in Tolo,” Tourism Association of Tolo President Giannis Georgidakis said.

During their visit, bloggers visited the area’s historical sites and monuments including Ancient Assini, the theatre of the Asklepieion at Epidaurus and the pre-Hellenic city of Mycenae. The program also included visits to local producers and learning about ouzo distillation, honey bee farming and the process of extra virgin olive oil production, highlighting the area’s rich agricultural offerings.

The Travel Bloggers Greece network has previously worked with dozens of domestic and international destinations and hundreds of tourism brands. They are committed to showcasing unique destinations and promoting Greece as an ideal destination in all seasons.

TBG current members include: Anthomeli, Family Experiences Blog, Bachelor of Travel, Limitless Travelling with K, Love for Travel, Passion for Greece/ Passion for Hospitality, Provocolate, Travel Greece Travel Europe, and Travel Passionate. The network’s international members include Travel With Mansoureh (UK) and Todd Hata (USA).
