Every day from 10am onwards, special squads consisting of volunteer doctors and health care professionals, will be conducting PCR testing on disembarking passengers with symptoms including fever and cough or on those who are at high risk. Test results will be assessed by the Athens Medical Association team at the region’s Covid-19 headquarters. “Teams will be screening for as long as necessary in order to obtain a clear picture and to adjust our actions accordingly over the next period,” said Attica Regional Governor Giorgos Patoulis. On Sunday, Attica region volunteers conducted over 300 tests at the ports of Piraeus and Rafina on dozens of incoming travelers as well as on port authority employees. All tests came out negative, according to the regional authority.
