STASY said that from August 31 – September 4, during rush hour, metro services on lines 2 and 3 will be running every 5 minutes (from 6). In addition, as of Monday, September 7, line 1 (Athens-Kifissia) will be running every 6 minutes; line 2 every 4.5 minutes (as last year), while itineraries on line 3 will be conducted every 4 minutes instead of 4.5. Meanwhile, STASY said it would also improve frequencies at the new stations of Agia Marina, Agia Varvara and Korydallos on line 3 with itineraries every four minutes. STASY aims to reduce wait times and effectively maintain social distancing rules. It is reminded that face masks must be worn when traveling on metro trains, electric railway, buses and trolleys. Passengers using public transport must also maintain social distancing from one another to avoid overcrowding.
