Sponsored by the Greek National Tourism Organization (GNTO), the 13th International Rhodes Festival will take place from August 24-29, while the 1st Canto – Human Voice Festival will be held during September 5-12.

This year’s International Rhodes Festival will include a concert dedicated to Spain with soprano Alexia Voulgaridou and award-winning Greek guitarist Korina Vougiouka; a concert with singer Thodoris Voutsikakis who will perform works of Italian composer Nicola Piovani, as well as an opera gala dedicated to Maria Callas with the participation of soprano Mina Polychronou, mezzo soprano Irini Karagianni and tenor Giannis Kalyvas.

The annual event aims to promote cultural tourism, highlight the region’s rich heritage and enhance the overall tourism experience of travelers.

Meanwhile, the 1st Canto – Human Voice Festival will take place in the medieval city of Rhodes and aims to celebrate vocal arts through opera performances, traditional songs and religious music, master classes, seminars and theater workshops, discussions and an exhibition dedicated to Maria Callas, among other events.

“The two international festivals are sponsored by GNTO, as part of its efforts to support initiatives and activities that highlight the thematic forms of tourism offered in Greece and enrich the country’s tourism product,” the organization said.
