Company updates Seajets’ New Power Jet Vessel Connects Crete with Cyclades Islands by GTP editing team 28 August 2020 written by GTP editing team 28 August 2020 0 comments Share 0FacebookTwitterLinkedinWhatsappEmail 17 Seajets recently launched a new itinerary connecting Crete with the Cyclades islands, that is conducted by its new highspeed Power Jet vessel. Launched on August 11, the new route connects Heraklion on Crete, with Santorini, Naxos, Mykonos and Paros with daily itineraries. “This has been a very difficult year for the whole world, due to the impact of COVID-19. By adding Power Jet to its fleet, Seajets aims to upgrade the connectivity of the Aegean islands with the mainland, support local communities and contribute to the development of tourism – the main pillar of the Greek economy,” said Seajets Head of Strategic Planning and Development Marios Iliopoulos. Since 2019, Seajets has acquired and refurbished two more vessels – the Worldchampion Jet and Sifnos Jet. Power Jet’s renovation was carried out in Greece and included the refurbishment of the ship’s interior areas, the replacement of hotel equipment, and the upgrade of air conditioning and navigation security systems. She travels at a speed of 35 miles and can carry up to 1,200 passengers and 150 vehicles. Seajets currently operates 15 ships and offers 300 connections in destinations of the Aegean sea.
