Launched by the Municipality of Rhodes in collaboration with the Dingo Marketing Team, the campaign features promo videos with repeat travelers narrating authentic experiences and revealing why they love Rhodes. The campaign requests for travelers to create their own videos and post them on Youtube, Google, Facebook, Instagram and other social media platforms using the hashtags #WhatILoveAboutRhodes and #Rhodes. “Our aim is to encourage visitors to narrate their own stories through photos and videos on social media and this way motivate other travelers to visit the island,” the Rhodes Municipality said in an announcement. To further promote the campaign, the municipality has created a dedicated website – www.whatiloveaboutrhodes.gr – which includes the campaign’s promo videos, visitors’ posts, vlogs – shows uploaded by influencers on YouTube and travel tips by visitors. In its first phase, the campaign is targeting travelers from Rhodes’ main tourism source markets – United Kingdom, Germany, Israel and Sweden – and will run for five months.
