Under the agreement, the two parties will share experience, know-how and best practices for the global promotion of Greek businesses through eBay’s platform. The collaboration also foresees a comprehensive training programs that will provide guidance on how to become a successful eBay seller as well as ongoing support, business development, expanded sales and a special participation page in Greek. In this direction, a Greek e-kiosk dubbed “Greek Corner” will be set up to promote Greek products to eBay consumers internationally. Other initiatives include online Greek export catalogs, a live newsfeed with the latest developments in all markets and ways to penetrate these markets in the Covid-19 era, digital events and B2Bs for target markets, as well as online campaigns such as “Support Greek Exports” to promote specific products and services. Photo Source: eBay “In this regard, we are particularly pleased to announce the start of our partnership with eBay, thus enhancing our digital extroversion in order to help Greek companies reach even more consumers and markets,” said Betty Alexandropoulou, MD Enterprise Greece. “Our main commitment is to support Greek exports to international markets and to communicate high quality Greek products to consumers around the world,” she said. “Greece, a country with a large number of small and medium-sized enterprises, is a top priority for us. It’s worth noting that in 2019 alone, 12,000 Greek companies exported over one million Greek products,” said Ilya Kretov, eBay’s general manager for Global Emerging Markets. Kretov added that eBay was committed to helping Greek companies strengthen their sales abroad and to highlighting the value of Greek products worldwide. Enterprise Greece is a state-run agency responsible for the implementation of the country’s strategy for the promotion of exports and investments.
