Air Travel Lufthansa Expands Offering of Flights to Greece for Summer 2021 by GTP editing team 16 September 2020 written by GTP editing team 16 September 2020 0 comments Share 0FacebookTwitterLinkedinWhatsappEmail 17 Mykonos island, Greece Lufthansa has announced that it will expand its offering of flights from Frankfurt to a number of leisure destinations in Greece for the summer of 2021. “We are very happy that, despite the difficulties, we are able to announce an ambitious flight schedule for the summer of 2021… With these new flights, we are closer to our pre-coronavirus flight schedule,” said Konstantinos Tzevelekos, Lufthansa Group general manager sales for Greece and Cyprus. A total of 15 new sunny destinations are already available for booking for next year’s summer season including popular Greek islands and cities such as Corfu, Chania on Crete, Mykonos, Kos, Kavala and Preveza. “We are looking forward to welcoming even more passengers on our aircraft next summer and offering them the opportunity to visit even more destinations in Greece,” he said. Other attractive destinations in Lufthansa’s 2021 summer program are Jerez de la Frontera, Gran Canaria and Tenerife in Spain, Hurghada in Egypt, Paphos in Cyprus, Rijeka in Croatia, Lamezia Terme in Italy, Djerba in Tunisia and Varna in Bulgaria. Tzevelekos went on to note that Lufthansa looks to stimulate traffic to popular destinations that have been tested by the coronavirus pandemic. To meet the increasing demand for the summer of 2021 and offer more options to leisure and business travelers, Lufthansa is expected to increase the frequency of its itineraries announced so far.
