The Astir Palace Vouliagmeni S.A. (Astir) has donated hand sanitizers to public kindergartens, primary schools, high schools and lyceums in the Municipality of Vari, Voula, Vouliagmeni near Athens‘ city center, aiming to curb the spread of Covid-19.

In collaboration with local authorities, the company has offered the instant cleansing hand gel units to protect students and teachers in a total of 488 classrooms operating in the area’s schools.

To provide schools with the hand antiseptic solutions, Astir worked with “My Roots”, a company based in Athens’ southern suburbs that manufactures cosmetics with herbal ingredients.

Furthermore, Astir donated special stainless steel cases for the antiseptic dispensers, that are easy to use and available to all.

“Offering to the local community remains a priority for Astir. The company’s contribution to the municipality’s efforts to protect the health of students and teachers and minimize the spread of the virus in the school environment, was immediate and essential,” the company said in an announcement.

Astir Palace Vouliagmeni S.A. has a history of over 50 years in Greek tourism. The company’s ongoing development plan includes the recent successful renovation of the Four Seasons Astir Palace Hotel Athens in Vouliagmeni, the upgrade of Astir Marina and the Astir Beach and the development of up to 13 luxury homes in the area.
