All travelers entering Greece from the Czech Republic from Monday, September 28, will be obliged to present a negative molecular test result (PCR) for coronavirus (Covid-19) upon arrival to the country, according to a new aviation directive (NOTAM) announced by the Hellenic Civil Aviation Authority (HCAA) on Thursday.

The directive, which has been issued as part of the Greek government’s efforts to curb the spread of the coronavirus in the country, will remain in effect through to Wednesday, September 30, at midnight.

According to the directive, the Covid-19 test must be taken 72 hours before arrival at a certified diagnostic center. The diagnosis must be in English when presented to Greek control authorities and must bear the name and passport/national ID number of the traveler.

It is noted that airlines must check whether passengers have a negative Covid-19 test before the flight. If not, passengers should not be allowed to board.

It is reminded that all travelers to Greece are still obliged to complete the Passenger Locator Form (PLF) 24 hours before entering the country.

*ATTENTION: All guidelines reported have been obtained by the Hellenic Civil Aviation Authority (HCAA) and are subject to change based on the evolution of the coronavirus pandemic, government decisions, and European Union directives.

* Regulations concerning countries allowed entry are subject to change after 14 days, when renewed assessments are made based on epidemiological data from country of origin.
