Established 36 years ago at the Piraeus port, Giovanti Travel offers air and ferry tickets as well as cargo services. “Angelos is an innovative mind, granted with two international patents, an executive with 25 years of experience in the tourism industry,” the travel agency said in an announcement. He started his career as a receptionist in city hotels and resorts. Over the years, he has collaborated with leading international tourism organizations, and has hands on experience in the MICE industry. His latest successful endeavor was in the marine industry, through his collaboration with shipping companies. Over the years, Angelos has improved his skills in public relations and sales by attending international exhibitions, congresses and performing door-to-door and cold-calling sales. Angelos thanked the Markou family – owner of Giovanti Travel – for their trust. “The Covid-19 pandemic has restarted the global tourism industry. I am happy to see that companies still believe in the power of sales and recognize that this is the only way to go forward,” he said. Giovanti is the central port agent of the Attica Group (Blue Star Ferries, Superfast Ferries and Hellenic Seaways). The company is also active in business travel.
