Titled “Man and his environment”, the contest aims to highlight the timeless effect of human activity on the environment, as well as the everyday moments, rich history, cultural heritage and multicultural features of Ioannina. The Municipality encourages residents and visitors to observe and depict the alternative sides of Ioannina, the life and colors of the city. “The coronavirus pandemic has imposed strict measures and affected personal contact and travel around the world. The digital tourism promotion of Ioannina, through dialogue and the exchange of information on social media, can clearly be more effective and offer multiple and extensive communication results,” Deputy Mayor for Tourism George Lolis said.
