Event News Athens to Host Mini Film Festival for Art of Design by GTP editing team 30 October 2020 written by GTP editing team 30 October 2020 0 comments Share 0FacebookTwitterLinkedinWhatsappEmail 19 Athens, during November 2-8 , will host a mini film festival dedicated to the art of design, which will pave the way for the launch of the “1st Milano Design Film Festival (MDFF) Greece-Athens” later in 2021. Titled “Design in film around the city of Athens”, the event will offer a sneak peek of the 1st MDFF and include film screenings on design, architecture, artificial intelligence, as well as walking tours, bike races, discussions and workshops. Through the collaboration of public and private organizations, the event will take place virtually and with physical presence in outdoor locations around the Greek capital. Press here to see the program. The event will be held under the auspices of the Greek National Tourism Organization (GNTO), following a decision by president, Angela Gerekou. Athens, Greece The main event – the 1st Milano Design Film Festival Greece–Athens – will take place at the Benaki Museum and the Greek Film Archive in the Greek capital in 2021 (dates to be announced soon). Under the title “Lights On—Projecting our contemporary future”, the festival aims to investigate all aspects of reality and contemporary living through over 20 screenings of short and feature films, documentaries and biopics, as well as various lectures, workshops, discussions and parallel activities. MDFF was launched in Milan in 2013 and, since then, has taken place in various cities around the world.
