Air Travel Belgium Includes Greece Among ‘Red’ Countries for Travel by GTP editing team 5 November 2020 written by GTP editing team 5 November 2020 0 comments Share 0FacebookTwitterLinkedinWhatsappEmail 24 The Belgian Ministry of Foreign Affairs has changed Greece’s color status to ‘red’ on its travel advisory map due to the evolution of the coronavirus (Covid-19) pandemic. Belgian authorities strongly discourage travel to countries in the ‘red’ zone’ and require a mandatory Covid-19 test and/or quarantine for travellers returning to Belgium from those areas. “If, after having sent your PLF form, you receive a text message with instructions about a quarantine and COVID test, you must follow these closely,” the travel advice says. Greece’s color change will be in force as of 4pm on Friday, November 6. It is noted that the travel advisory does not ban travel to Greece. Moreover, Belgian authorities announced that travellers returning from a red zone will no longer be under the obligation to be tested, until November 15, except in the case of obvious symptoms. However, depending on their answers to the self-assessment questionnaire attached to the Passenger Locator Form, they may be required to comply with a quarantine extended to 10 days. Other countries added to Belgium’s ‘red’ zone include Latvia and regions of France, Germany, Italy and Spain.
