AEGEAN is among the top 4 carriers in the world to be certified with the 4-star Rating, which confirms that since the start of the coronavirus (Covid-19) pandemic, the airline has been implementing the highest standards and best practices proposed by the World Health Organization, ICAO and IATA for the protection of passengers and crew. “Since the beginning of the pandemic, we have proactively developed effective tools and procedures to enhance confidence and maintain safety for every passenger throughout the entire customer journey,” said AEGEAN CEO Dimitris Gerogiannis. Based on real travel experience data, the Skytrax Covid-19 Airline Safety rating certifies the consistency and effectiveness of the health and safety measures applied by AEGEAN, both at the airport and in-flight. The 4-Star Covid-19 Airline Safety Rating recognizes good airport processing standards that include some elements of contactless technology, customer handling, and social distancing protocols for check-in, boarding, and arrival. “This award reflects our commitment to propound the protection of health and wellbeing of our passengers and crew during these unprecedented circumstances, that have severely altered travel experience.
